Steel vessel, steel sheath with two carrying rings. Leathery grip (ray fish skin) with a wire winding. Damask blade etched with gold-plated battle scenes, trophies, Order of the Legion of Honour and motto "Fatherland and honour".
Engraving from the manufacturer on the back of the blade. Very rare object. France ca. 1830
