du Corps du Roi.
1st model. Lightly curved Montmorency blade, the obverse side etched "Gardes Du Corps Du Roi" between two lilies over a trophy bundle and two "B" stamps (Bick and Borson), the reverse with the crowned Bourbon coat of arms under a sun surmounting another trophy bundle, the back of the blade marked "Manuf.re.R.le Du Klingenthal. Octobre 1814". The brass hilt shows remnants of fire-gilding, has three bars and a shield-shaped knuckle guard exhibiting the crowned Bourbon coat of arms surrounded by oak and laurel leaves and flags, the grip covered with sharkskin and wrapped with twisted silver wire.
